Jewish Cultural Competency & Cultural Humility Training

Understanding Jewish Identity, Contemporary Antisemitism, and Culturally Responsive Practice

Trauma-informed, evidence-informed training that equips professionals with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to better support Jewish clients, students, patients, employees, and communities.

Why This Training Matters

Jewish identity is one of the most misunderstood and least represented identities in multicultural education.

The multidimensional nature of Jewish identity often falls outside traditional multicultural frameworks, contributing to persistent gaps in cultural understanding and professional education. While many professionals receive training in cultural responsiveness, few receive meaningful education on Jewish identity, contemporary antisemitism, or the unique psychological experiences that shape Jewish life today.

Without this foundation, even well-intentioned professionals may unintentionally overlook important aspects of a person's identity, misunderstand the impact of antisemitism, or miss opportunities to build trust and psychological safety.

Our Goal

Our goal extends beyond increasing awareness.

We help professionals develop the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to provide culturally responsive care, foster meaningful relationships, and create environments where Jewish individuals feel seen, understood, and respected.

Cultural competence is not measured by how much we know about another culture.

It is demonstrated through humility, empathy, curiosity, and the ability to build trust and repair relationships when misunderstandings occur.

What Makes This Training Different

Our training combines clinical psychology, trauma-informed care, and Jewish cultural understanding to help professionals translate knowledge into meaningful practice.

Participants develop practical skills to:

Build Cultural Humility

Move beyond cultural awareness by recognizing the limits of one's own perspective, approaching each individual with curiosity rather than assumptions, and integrating both cultural knowledge and lived experience into practice.

Strengthen Empathy

Develop perspective-taking skills that deepen understanding of Jewish lived experience and strengthen authentic human connection.

Navigate Rupture & Repair

Recognize when bias, misunderstanding, or difficult conversations have damaged trust and develop practical strategies for meaningful repair.

Foster Psychological Safety

Create environments where individuals feel safe expressing their identities, experiences, and concerns without fear of dismissal or misunderstanding.

Translate Knowledge into Practice

Apply culturally responsive communication and trauma-informed principles to everyday interactions with clients, students, patients, employees, and colleagues.
